1998 Ice Storm Information

You might have the right to compensation if, in January 1998, you held a home insurance policy with The Canadian Union Insurance Company and were affected by the 1998 ice storm.

This agreement is in conjunction with the class action suit undertaken by Option Consommateurs against 19 insurance companies. Option Consommateurs maintains that the said companies should have paid additional living expenses (ALE) to their insured parties during the ice storm that occurred in January 1998.
