RSA Canada selected as a finalist in multiple top award categories for the prestigious 2020 Insurance Business Canada Awards

Finalist categories include P&C Insurer of the Year and Employer of the Year

Toronto, Ontario, October 1, 2020 – RSA Canada has been named as a finalist by the 2020 Insurance Business Canada Awards in three top award categories, including P&C Insurer of the Year. Additionally, two of its employees have been nominated for prestigious individual awards. The awards recognize excellence in Canada’s insurance industry, with a specific emphasis on the organizations and individuals that have made outstanding achievements over the past year. 

RSA Canada’s commitment to its broker network, and its team of dedicated employees is exemplified with this honour, as the awards illustrate the outstanding brokers, brokerages, insurers, underwriters, MGAs and risk managers for their achievements, innovation, and leadership in the industry.

In addition to being shortlisted for the esteemed P&C of the Year award, the other nominations include:

  • Insurance Industry Employer of Choice

This award recognizes commitment to building a workplace that recognizes excellence and supports career growth for all.

  • Best Advertising Campaign for RSA Canada’s ‘Expert Advice’ content in partnership with Insurance Business

This award of excellence recognizes outstanding advertising campaigns that have taken place in the last 12-18 months. Specifically, an outstanding individual campaign directed at brokers and/or advice professionals in terms of its effectiveness, reach and creativity.

In addition to the company-wide accolades, two RSA Canada employees have been named as award finalists for excellence in their respective fields:

  • Underwriter of the Year
    • Lori Craig, National Underwriting Operations and Optimization, RSA Canada

This award recognizes the underwriter whose expertise and outstanding service to brokers helps ensure proper coverage is placed efficiently and effectively.

  • Business Development Manager of the Year
    • Cathy Anderson, Business Development Manager (BDM), RSA Canada

This award recognizes the individual BDM within the insurance space who is pushing the envelope in business development, client service and education, and has demonstrated commitment to brokers and developing knowledge of markets.
